Welcome to "In the Moment"

This challenge works one of two ways:
1) Submit an original poem, photo, or artwork (any medium) that relates to the challenge word of the month.
2) Take a look at what has been submitted and draw inspiration from it and create a NEW piece of artwork based on a previous artists entry.

Confused?  See if this helps explain the concept:

The challenge word might be "rural".  "Jane" might write an original poem based on the family farm she grew up on.  "Jack" may submit a photo of a tractor in a hayfield. "Jill" might download the photo & use it for a reference in order to create a watercolor painting of it.

For detailed Rules & Regulations, please see right side bar.

If there is any confusion and you are interested in participating, please leave me a message in the comment section.   I realize this may be a bit confusing.  All questions and suggestions are quite welcome.

Begins Monday September 27, 11am (EST)-
& Ends Sunday, October 31, 11pm (EST)
A new challenge will start the beginning of each month.

 October Challenge Word
is Labor

"A man is not idle because he is absorbed in thought.  There is a visible labor and there is an invisible labor". - Victor Hugo

Think " Van Gogh" & his paintings of peasants working in the fields.

Think seasonal - there is evidence all around this time of year.

  2. Hi Margaret - I like how you combined these, makes it easier. One thing, the images above are not showing on my computer, but their links do take me where I can see them on the other blogs.

Those peaches have called out to me (and are sketched), but now I'm hearing those pickles too! What great images!

  7. I stumbled across your site and loved it. I thought I'd put my own little "labor" of love in it... and messed up!
Is there a way to edit? I thought I linked it to the Sweet Pickle entry in my blog, but I linked it to another. It's not the worst disaster, but I meant for it to link to this -http://wordweaverart.blogspot.com/2010/07/bread-and-butter-pickles-cucumbers.html
    Sorry.
